Genyne L. Edwards, JD

With over 30 years of experience, Genyne L. Edwards is a distinguished leader whose expertise spans the fields of law, engineering, and organizational leadership. As CEO of P3 Development Group, she has built one of the most respected advisory firms that partners with leading organizations, including the City of Milwaukee, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Northwestern Mutual, and Visit Milwaukee. Edwards is known for her ability to blend strategic insight, creative problem-solving and practical expertise to tackle complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

Before co-founding P3 in 2011, Edwards served as the first African American Deputy Secretary of Wisconsin’s Department of Tourism, where she led transformative initiatives to boost tourism and partner  engagement. She has played a pivotal role in designing and leading cohort-based programs such as the Mosaic Partnerships Program, Neighborhood Leadership Institute, African American Leadership Program, and the City of Milwaukee’s Business Capacity Building Program, each designed to strengthen communities and drive economic progress.

A recognized expert and thought leader, Edwards has received numerous honors, including the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2015 Woman of Influence in Innovation Award, the 2021 Diversity in Business Award, and United Way’s Driver of Diversity Award. She has been celebrated for her contributions by the Marquette University Alumni Association and the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Advancing Healthier Wisconsin Endowment.

Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School. She is additionally certified in commercial real estate development and contract compliance.
